Selena Gomez - an international actor and singer - has become known as a household name. The Disney film Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the biggest projects that she has been a part of and has achieved the most successes, is her own project. Selena Marie Gomez has a full name. Born on the 22nd of July 1992 at Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez were the parents of Selena. Selena's mother was just 16 at the time Selena came into the world. When she was nine years old, Selena landed her first role on stage when she was cast as Gianna on Barney and her Friends. As a result, she was a part of one of history's most anthropomorphic and red dinosaurs. Selena was involved in several episodes from seasons 7 and 8, between 2001 and 2003. Fun fact: Selena was not the only singer who worked on Barney and the Friends at this time; Demi Lovato was also part of the ensemble cast for the show. Selena Gomez had a few auditions for different films and shows after the end of the show Barney and his Friends. She was not successful. The role she was offered was a minor one in the 2003 movie Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over) and a different one as Julie as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. The film also featured her in the role of Emily Grace Garcia, a person she wrote musical to play in the 2006 film Brain Zapped.
